I hope you are still feeling energized by our One Joyful Choir experience. Saturday, November 17, was, indeed, an exhilarating day! Thank you so much for believing in this project, your faithful participation, and seeing it through to its wonderful execution.
This would not have been possible if it were not for the nearly 600 volunteers involved in the concert. It is mind-blowing to believe that we had 450 singers from 61 churches! The Kimmel Center was the perfect venue for our concert, and the choir could not have sounded more perfect. We were the largest choir to ever perform there, which is an incredible feat. When it is all done, this will likely be the largest fundraiser for the Presbytery of Philadelphia!
The response to our OJC CDs, DVDs, and other merchandise has been so positive that we've decided to continue to have these things available for you. Future proceeds will continue to go to our presbytery's mission work. We have also been in talks with Jeff Fowler and Celebration Committee, and we have concluded that there's more we can do. We hope to get everyone together again for a concert in November 2010. We will need singers, of course, and lots of other volunteers to help out with the various committees that got this event off the ground and running.
You made One Joyful Choir possible, and we sincerely apprectiate you, your talents, and the way you stepped right in, worked together, and helped make the experience one we all long remember. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
